There is a strong emphasis on play-based learning in the early years of education at Cokethorpe, backed by an imaginative, topic-based curriculum and specialist teaching in French, Music, Drama and PE.
An independent day school, providing a liberal education to boys and girls from the ages of four to eighteen, Cokethorpe offers more than a stunning setting in which to learn. Inspired by our boarding school past, we offer over 160 clubs, societies and activities each week alongside expansive academic enrichment opportunities.
Cokethorpe School is a private day school in Witney, West Oxfordshire. The school was found in 1957 by Francis Brown. It is a member of HMC, IAPS, and The Society of Heads. The school has approximately 660 students from age 4 to 18.
