She married Carl August Walther Sommerlath on 10 December 1925, in São Manuel, São Paulo, Brazil. They were the parents of at least 3 sons. She died on 9 March 1997, in Ekerön, Stockholm, Sweden, at the age of 90, and was buried in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
