  6. Hace 4 días · Geoffrey's younger son also Geoffrey Boleyn (1406-1463) began his career as a lowly apprentice mercer, but left Norfolk to seek his fortune in London. He acquired a large personal fortune and became Lord Mayor of London in 1457. He was knighted by King Henry VI.

  7. Sir Geoffrey Boleyn had been Lord Mayor of London 1457-8 and founded their fortunes but it was his grandson Thomas who married Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Howard, Earl of Surrey who became Duke of Norfolk in 1514.
