St. Ignatius College of Education, St. Ignatius Training College for Women had its beginning in the upper block of St.Ignatius’ Convent High School with a hope for and views of gaining academic and moral support from the model school. The college was officially inaugurated on 29th July 1957.
Situated across three campuses, Saint Ignatius' College is an extraordinary school, made so by a tradition of educational excellence established by the Jesuit Fathers in 1951.
Saint Ignatius College Prep offers several courses designed to prepare incoming freshmen for the rigor of the first year curriculum. Freshmen who are enrolling at Saint Ignatius are eligible to register for College Prep Reading, Grammar and Writing, Algebra 1 Prep, and Science Prep.

In 1883, with an enrollment of 704, SI became the largest Jesuit school in the nation. Ten years later, SI began a new tradition when students from SI and Sacred Heart played a rugby game on St. Patrick’s Day, marking the start of the oldest high school rivalry west of the Rocky Mountains.
