Major General Hon. Sir Frederick Cavendish Ponsonby GCMG KCB KCH (6 July 1783 – 11 January 1837) was an Anglo-Irish military officer.

Hace 4 días · Major-General Ponsonby was a cavalry officer serving on Wellington's staff. It was he who brought to Wellington the news of Napoleon's abdication in 1814. 'You don't say so, upon my honour! Hurrah!' exclaimed the normally restrained duke, spinning round and snapping his fingers.
