The band were huge in Sweden and they frequently toured there during the early years.

The Searchers' discography was originally released on the vinyl format, with full-length long plays (LPs), shorter EPs (mostly 4 songs) and singles (2 songs). Over the years, the collection has also been released on many compact discs (CDs).
The Searchers' first radio recording session in Sweden was made in the Karlaplan studio in Stockholm on February 18, 1964 with the original group members, Chris Curtis (frontman and drummer), Mike Pender (lead guitar), Tony Jackson (bass guitar) and John McNally (rhythm guitar).
The Searchers were on a roll when they hit Sweden in March 1964. 'Needles And Pins' had just been a hit in the UK. It was their second number one after 1963's 'Sweets For My Sweet'. Yet this was a slightly different Searchers to the 1963 model.
Part 1: Rock 'n' Roll Sweeps Sweden In Early 1960s. The Searchers made several trips from Liverpool to Sweden in the 1960s in an attempt to promote their Liverpool Sound. Fortunately, for Searchers enthusiasts everywhere, the group's performances were captured live on Swedish radio on three occasions, March and December 1964 and May 1967.
