  6. Wayland Hilton Young, 2nd Baron Kennet was born on 2 August 1923. He was the son of Edward Hilton Young, 1st Baron Kennet and Lady Edith Agnes Kathleen Bruce. He married Elizabeth Ann Adams, daughter of Captain Bryan Fullerton Adams and Audrey Marshall, on 24 January 1948.
