Catherine Murray, Countess of Dysart was a Scottish noblewoman. She was wife of William Murray, 1st Earl of Dysart and mother of Elizabeth, Duchess of Lauderdale. She was responsible for the management of Ham House during the English Civil War, defending it from the encroachment of Parliamentary forces.
Catherine was the daughter of Col. Norman Bruce and Janet Norvall. She married William Murray. They had issue: Elizabeth, 2nd Countess of Dysart; Margaret, married William, 2nd Lord Maynard of Estaines ad Turrim d. 4 June 1682. He d. Feb 3 1698-99 ; Catherine, of St. Martin's in the Fields, co. Middlesex, d. 10. Anne buried April 16 1679.
