We are a Quaker, coeducational, college preparatory day and boarding school for students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States. Our school was founded in 1799 by the Philadelphia Quakers, and we are the oldest continuously operating co-educational boarding school in the country.
Westtown School has three divisions: Lower School (PreK to 5th grade), Middle School (6th to 8th grade), and Upper School (9th to 12th grade). To enroll in PreK, students must be 4 years old at the start of school and fully potty trained.

Westtown is believed to be the oldest, continuously operating coeducational boarding school in the country. Westtown School first welcomed students in May 1799.
