Peroz I (Middle Persian: 𐭯𐭩𐭫𐭥𐭰, romanized: Pērōz) was the Sasanian King of Kings of Iran from 459 to 484. A son of Yazdegerd II (r. 438–457), he disputed the rule of his elder brother and incumbent king Hormizd III (r. 457–459), eventually seizing the throne after a two-year struggle.

Peroz I Kushanshah ( escritura bactriana: Πιρωςο Κοϸανο ϸαηο) 1 fue Kushanshah del reino kushano-sasánida desde 245 hasta 275. Fue el sucesor de Ardashir I Kushanshah. Fue un gobernante enérgico, que acuñó monedas en Balkh, Herat y Gandhara.

Peroz I fue un gran defensor y protector de la religión zoroástrica, que era la religión oficial del Imperio Sasánida. Durante su reinado, promovió la construcción de templos y lugares sagrados, y se preocupó por preservar y difundir los textos sagrados de esta religión.
