The University of Tartu (UT; Estonian: Tartu Ülikool; Latin: Universitas Tartuensis) is a public research university located in the city of Tartu, Estonia. It is the national university of Estonia. It also consists of the largest and oldest university in the country.
The oldest university in Estonia – the University of Tartu was founded in 1632 – has four faculties: Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Science and Technology, and Medicine. The University of Tartu offers a wide range of programmes taught in English, Estonian and one programme in Russian.

In 2024 we offer admission to 31 English-taught programmes: 3 first level programmes and 28 master's level programmes, including the Erasmus Mundus programme Excellence in Analytical Chemistry.
