The E Street Band is an American rock band that has been the primary backing band for rock musician Bruce Springsteen since 1972. In 2014, the E Street Band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
In 1999, after 10 years apart, Springsteen reconvened the E Street Band for a historic series of shows documented on the "Live in New York City" HBO special, DVD and album. Since the E Street reunion tour, Springsteen has toured consistently — usually with the band.
