In 1488, Cecily married John Welles, 1st Viscount Welles, a relative of the king's mother Lady Margaret Beaufort; in this second marriage, Cecily gave birth to two daughters. In 1499, she became a widow.
Biography. John Welles K.G., 10th Lord Welles, was the son of Lionel Welles, K.G., by Margaret Beauchamp. He married "shortly before 1 Jan. 1487/8 [Lady] Cecily Plantagenet... divorced wife of Ralph Scrope, Est. (later Knt)... daughter of Edward IV, King of England, by Elizabeth, daughter of Richard Wydeville, K.G., 1st Earl Rivers."
