On 5 February 2024, John Jones, Alan Prosser and Ian Telfer announced on Facebook that Oysterband will be retiring as a touring band, although they plan a 'long goodbye.' Current line-up. Currently Oysterband consists of founder members John Jones (vocal, melodeon), Alan Prosser (guitars, vocal), and Ian Telfer (violin, keyboard, vocal) with Dil Davies (drums), Al Scott (bass guitar, mandolin, vocal), and Adrian Oxaal (cello, guitar, vocal).
Biography. In a music career that has spanned 20 years, Alan has had his tracks and remixes featured on labels such as ‘The Ministry of Sound’, ‘Fantazia’, 'Cutting Records', 'Underwater Records', 'S.L.R', 'Element' & ‘Global Underground’.
