Jacques of Savoy, Count of Romont (12 November 1450 – 30 January 1486) was a member of the House of Savoy and military commander during the Burgundian Wars.

Jacques of Savoy joined the army of the powerful Duke of Burgundy, Charles de Bold. Jacques took the opportunity of a conflict with his sister-in-law Yolande to grab several fortified places that Amadeus IX had retained, and an arbitration by Bern and Fribourg in 1471 awarded them to him.
Marie was first married as a child to her maternal uncle, Jacques of Savoy, Count of Romont. A commander in the army of Charles the Bold, he was deprived of his appanage, the Vaud, by Swiss armies sent by Berne and Fribourg.

More fortunate was the Savoyard division under Jacques of Savoy, Count of Romont which was posted in the northern half of the Morat siege works. Forming up and abandoning all their baggage they retreated north and west round the lake and eventually made good their escape to Romont.
Jacques de Savoie, aussi appelé Jacques de Romont, né le 12 novembre 1450 à Genève et mort le 30 janvier 1486, est un prince de la maison de Savoie, comte de Romont et baron de Vaud, qui a joué un rôle important à l'époque des guerres de Bourgogne (1474-1477) entre Charles le Téméraire et les cantons suisses confédérés.
