Robert John Carrington, 2nd Baron Carrington, FRS (16 January 1796 – 17 March 1868), was a politician and a baron in the Peerage of Great Britain. He was the son of Robert Smith, 1st Baron Carrington, and Anne Boldero-Barnard. He adopted the name "Carrington" in 1839.
As of 2018, the baronies are held by his son Rupert Carington, 7th Baron Carrington, who is the current Lord Great Chamberlain since September 2022. The Hon. Sir William Carington, second son of the second Baron, was a soldier, politician and courtier. The Barons Carrington are related to the Barons Bicester.

Robert John Carrington, 2nd Baron Carrington, FRS , was a politician and a baron in the Peerage of Great Britain. He was the son of Robert Smith, 1st Baron Carrington, and Anne Boldero-Barnard. He adopted the name "Carrington" in 1839.
Succeeded by his son, Robert John Smith (1796–1868), who took the name Carrington (as 2nd Baron Carrington) instead of Smith by royal licence.
