Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, both of Fleetwood Mac, appeared on the album. Nicks sang background vocals. Buckingham sang, played guitar, and co-produced.
The song is from the album Bombs Away Dream Babies, in which Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham contributed. (Although the guitar solo in "Gold" is similar in style to Buckingham's, it was actually played by Stewart.)
23 de mar. de 2017 · Ironically, even though “Gold” hit #5 and his LP, Bombs Away Dream Babies hit the Top 10, neither turned to gold. As a consolation, he was mistaken for Garry Shandling once in a while. Thanks to assists from Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks this album went top ten in the U.S. back in 1979. That’s not why this album haunts me, though.

24 de ago. de 2019 · Stewart continued to record at a pace of about an album a year, but most of them languished in obscurity – until the release of 1979’s Bombs Away Dream Babies. Bombs Away… was co-produced by Lindsey Buckingham, who was hot off the success of Fleetwood Mac’s classic Rumours.
