General George Thomas Keppel, 6th Earl of Albemarle, DL, FGS, FSA (13 June 1799 – 21 February 1891), styled The Honourable from birth until 1851, was a British soldier, Liberal politician and writer.

George Thomas Keppel was born on the 13th June 1799 Marylebone, Middlesex, London, England. He was the sixth child of William Charles Keppel 4th Earl of Albemarle, and his first wife, Elizabeth Southwell

George Thomas Keppel, sixth Earl of Albemarle, second son of William Charles, fourth earl, by his first wife, the Hon. Elizabeth Southwell, daughter of Lord de Clifford, and grandson of George Keppel, third earl of Albemarle, was born 13 June 1799.
George Keppel, third son of the seventh Earl, was the husband of Alice Edmondstone, one of the many mistresses of King Edward VII, and the father (although his paternity has been questioned) of the writer and socialite Violet Trefusis and of Mrs. Sonia Cubitt.
