Domhnall Caomhánach (Domhnall Mac Murchada or Domhnall Caomhánach Mac Murchada, anglicized as Donal Kavanagh) is the ancestor of the Caomhánach line of the Uí Ceinnselaig dynasty and was King of Leinster from 1171 to 1175. Domhnall was the eldest son of the 12th century King of Leinster, Diarmait Mac Murchada in Ireland.

The last proclaimed King of Leinster, Domhnall Spáinneach Mac Murchadha Caomhánach, died in 1632. Later senior descendants who retained the position among the Irish upper-classes included Arthur MacMorrough Kavanagh (1831–1889) and his son, Walter MacMurrough Kavanagh 1856–1922).
Domhnall mac Donnchaidh Caomhanaigh, called Domhnall Spain neach, was one of the leading men of the Irish of Leinster at this period. Mac Murchada, Domnall Cáemánach (d. 1175), king of the Irish of Leinster, was a member of the ruling family of Mac Murchada (MacMurrough), which belonged to the Síl Cormaic lineage of the Uí Chennselaig dynasty. Domnall himself was ancestor of the Cáemánach (Kavanagh) line, one of the few Irish families to bear an adjectival surname.
