William FitzClarence, 2nd Earl of Munster, (19 May 1824 – 30 April 1901), styled Viscount FitzClarence from 1831 to 1842, was a British peer. He was named after his grandfather, King William IV.
FitzClarence. The FitzClarence family was an illegitimate branch of the House of Hanover. Prince William, Duke of Clarence and St Andrews, who later became King William IV of the United Kingdom, had at least ten children with his mistress Dorothea Jordan, all of whom took the surname FitzClarence.
Hace 6 días · Elizabeth FitzClarence married William Hay, 18th Earl of Erroll, and became Countess of Erroll on 4 December 1820 at age 19, they married at St George's, Hanover Square. She died in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Fitzclarence was an extreme conservative opposed to Protector Benjamin IX's reforms, and an open enemy of fellow steadholder Honor Harrington, who in his opinion had no right to hold the office because she was a woman and a foreigner.
