30 de oct. de 2015 · ULYSSES (Della Notte) was the second full-length solo album for Gabrels. It appeared originally in 1999 as a then-pioneering digital-only release that comprised eight songs and won a Yahoo! Internet award.
Su relación con el grupo de Robert Smith comenzó en 1998 cuando formó el ensemble, COGASM junto con el propio Smith y el batería de The Cure, Jason Cooper grabando la canción «A Sign From God» que apareció en la banda sonora de la película Orgazmo escrita, dirigida e interpretada por Trey Parker.
Gabrels and Smith co-wrote the song "Yesterday's Gone", with Smith on vocals, for Gabrels's 1999 album Ulysses (Della Notte). Smith and Gabrels stayed in touch, and in 2012 Gabrels was invited to play as a guest during several Cure concerts.
