Edward Arthur Henry Pakenham, 6th Earl of Longford (29 December 1902 – 5 February 1961) was an Irish peer, politician, and littérateur. Also known as Eamon de Longphort, he was a member of the fifth Seanad Éireann, the upper house of the Irish Parliament, in the 1940s.
Edward Arthur Henry Pakenham, 6th earl of Longford was a theatre patron and playwright who is best-remembered as the director of the Gate Theatre in Dublin. Longford succeeded to the earldom in 1915 and was educated at the University of Oxford (B.A., 1925; M.A., 1928).

Pakenham, Edward Arthur Henry (1902–61), 6th earl of Longford , theatre manager, and writer, was born 29 December 1902 in London, eldest son of Thomas Pakenham (1864–1915), 5th earl of Longford and lieutenant-colonel in the Life Guards, and his wife, Lady Mary Julia Child-Villiers (d. 1933), daughter of the 7th earl of Jersey.
