  2. Going-to-the-Sun Road vehicle reservations are good for one day. This reservation provides access for one private vehicle or one motorcycle to enter Going-to-the-Sun Road through the West Entrance past the Apgar Check Point from May 24 through September 8, 2024, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    Gasoline is not available in the park. There is an electric vehicle charging station across from the Lake McDonald Lodge camp store.
    Picnic areas are found at Rising Sun, Avalanche Creek, Sprague Creek, and Apgar.
    5 out of 13 campgrounds in Glacier are located along the road: Apgar, Sprague Creek, Avalanche, Rising Sun, and St. Mary. Please see our Campingpage for more information.

  4. 17 de jul. de 2023 · A trip across Going-to-the-Sun Road is a trip into the heart of Glacier. This “transmountain highway” offers exceptional views at every turn. The road stretches about 50 miles between the West Entrance and St. Mary Entrance, and climbs to 6,466 ft (2,025 m) at Logan Pass.
