The story of the Continental Drifters. A Long Way from L.A. to LA: In late 1991, expatriate New Orleanean musicians Carlo Nuccio and Ray Ganucheau were living in Los Angeles. Carlo had been playing with Mark Walton, ex-Dream Syndicate bass player, and they had discussed the possibility of starting their own band.
The band was formed in Los Angeles in 1991, initially consisting of Carlo Nuccio (drums, vocals), Ray Ganucheau (guitars, banjo, vocals), Mark Walton (bass), Gary Eaton (guitars, vocals) and Danny McGough (keyboards).
20 de jul. de 2015 · The band Continental Drifters consisted of Ray Ganucheau, Gary Eaton, Carlo Nuccio, Mark Walton, Peter Holsapple, Vicki Peterson and Susan Cowsill in various incarnations. Their sound was reminiscent of a mix between The Band and The Eagles, with rootsy blues and rock teamed with irresistible vocals in terms of solo voices and heavenly harmonies.
