Leonora Christina var Christian 4.s øjesten, men efter hans død i 1648 kom hun og Corfitz Ulfeldt snart i konflikt med Frederik 3. og ikke mindst dennes dronning Sophie Amalie. I 1651 flygtede parret til Sverige og medvirkede her i konspirationer mod den danske regering.
Jammers Minde (literally A Memory of Lament), translated into English as Memoirs of Leonora Christina, is an autobiography completed in 1674 by Leonora Christina, daughter of Christian IV of Denmark and Kirsten Munk. The work, first published in 1869, is included in the Danish Culture Canon.
