Tawa College - With the support of our community we aim to provide a challenging, balanced education which strongly promotes achievement and preparation for lifelong learning through the development of students' intellectual abilities, personal maturity and social responsibility.
Tawa College is a state coeducational secondary school located in Tawa, Wellington, New Zealand. The school opened in 1961, and primarily serves students in Tawa and the surrounding suburbs. A total of 1,191 students from Years 9 to 13 attend the school as of February 2024.
We are a co-educational state secondary school drawn largely from the area of Tawa which itself has a broad socio-economic mix. Tawa College was officially opened in July 1961 and has always maintained a close involvement with the life of the local community, particularly through music and sport.

Tawa College is a co-educational high school of 1420 students, based in Wellington. It is very much a college of the local community, though it is only 15 minutes by train from the centre of Wellington. Students at the college excel academically, in sport and in cultural activities.
5 de dic. de 2023 · Tawa College has celebrated the success of our students this year at prizegiving ceremonies held in Term 4. As the 2023 school year concludes we would like to take this opportunity to celebrate all of the students who have achieved and contributed to the success of our college.
