Iffat bint Mohammad Al Thunayan (Arabic: عفت بنت محمد الثنيان ʿIffat bint Moḥammad Āl Ṯunayān, Turkish: İffet bint Muhammed es Saniyan; 1916 – 17 February 2000) was a Turkish-born education activist and Saudi princess who was the most prominent wife of King Faisal of Saudi Arabia.

17 de feb. de 2000 · Iffat bint Ahmed Al-Thunayan Al Saud (Arabic: عفّت الثنيان آل سعود) (1910 - February 17, 2000), also spelled Effat, was the most prominent wife of King Faisal of Saudi Arabia. [1] She is also the half-sister of Kamal Adham. She is sometimes called Queen Iffat, Emira Iffat, or Princess Iffat.
Iffat al-Thunayan was the wife of King Faisal, who ruled Saudi Arabia from 1964 until 1975, when he was assassinated by a member of the royal family.
‘Iffat Al-Thunayan, spouse of the late King Faysal (r. 1964-1975), was born and raised in Turkey in an uprooted Sa‘udi family. Returning to the Kingdom in 1932, she used her influence to raise a formidable family and recommend policies.
A politically conscious spouse, Queen ‘Iffat played the leading role in Sa‘udi female society, attended many state functions, and received female state guests. She traveled extensively, especially in Europe and the United States, supported myriad charities, and cajoled many to invest in the Kingdom.
