Stephen Longespée (c. 1216 – 1260) was an English knight who served as Seneschal of Gascony and as Justiciar of Ireland.
12 de oct. de 2023 · Stephen Longespée was born in 1216.1 He was the son of William Longespée, 1st Earl of Salisbury and Ela, Countess of Salisbury. He married Emeline de Ridelsford, daughter of Walter de Ridelsford, between 8 February 1243 and 14 December 1244.

Stephen Longespée (c. 1216 – 1260) was an English knight who served as Seneschal of Gascony and as Justiciar of Ireland. Longespée was a son of William Longespée, 3rd Earl of Salisbury and Ela of Salisbury. He was a cousin of the King Henry III of England.
Ela married William Longespée, an illegitimate half-brother of kings Richard I and John, who thus became Earl of Salisbury, in 1196. Ela held the post of High Sheriff of Wiltshire for two years after William's death, then became a nun, and eventually Abbess of Lacock Abbey in Wiltshire, which she had founded in 1229.
