Most of the music on the album is organic with the electronics only being secondary, so the sound of the album is definitely more of a traditional band style, and that really goes a long ways in the natural sound of the music.

The Field Music live band currently features Kev Dosdale, Andrew Lowther and Liz Corney. In October 2016, the band played a short run of shows with an expanded line-up. This included the string quartet of Ed Cross, Jo Montgomery, Chrissie Slater and Ele Leckie, saxophonist Pete Fraser, trumpet player Simon Dennis and percussionist Damo Waters.

We wanted to get someone in on bass as well and we were thinking ‘who shall we ask’ and we thought of Ian (Black), who’s someone we’ve known for a really long time.
