Homicide, Australia’s first police drama series, premiered in Melbourne on HSV7 on 20 October 1964. The landmark Crawford Productions' series profiled murder cases handled by the fictional detectives of Victoria Police Headquarters’ homicide squad. Homicide ran for 12 years and over 500 episodes.
