The group is best known for its classic chart-topping 1962 hit, " Do You Love Me ", which sold over 1 million copies and became a major hit again in 1988.
3 de ago. de 2020 · THE CONTOURS contributed "Get Ready", "Higher and Higher", "Cry to Me" and "Do You Love Me" to the 1989 release "Dirty Dancing Live In Concert". In September 1998, THE CONTOURS released a CD, "Great Dirty Dancing Hits", sprinkled with several of their hits as well as hits of other artists.
La película y el disco dieron lugar a un "Dirty Dancing Concert Tour" en 1988 seguido de un nuevo contrato de grabación para Motorcity Records de Ian Levine, donde el grupo grabó dos álbumes Flashback y Revenge, aunque este último no se publicó, aunque las canciones aparecerían más tarde en compilación posterior, The Best of the Contours.
