Ar-Radi murió en 940. Se le ha considerado como el último califa abasí verdadero, que cumplió las funciones propias de su cargo. Al-Radi was born in 970 in the Abbasid capital, Baghdad, and died in 1015 in his hometown. His grave is located in Kadhimiya, Baghdad. Ar-Radi, Abu al-Abbás ar-Radi bi-L·lah Muhámmad ben Ŷa'áfar al-Muqtádir fue califa abasí de Bagdad en el periodo 934-940. Era hijo de Al-Muqtádir. Nació en 907.
Sharif ar-Radi was a prominent Shi’a scholar and poet born in Baghdad. Although he is most known for his literary expertise, he was also an expert in jurisprudence and exegesis of the Quran. His most famous work is Nahj al-Balagha, a collection of Imam Ali’s (a.s) sayings and letters.
