Admiral William Waldegrave, 1st Baron Radstock, GCB (9 July 1753 – 20 August 1825) was an officer in the Royal Navy and Governor of Newfoundland.

Waldegrave, William, 1 st Baron Radstock (1753-1825) Governor, 1797-1800. William Waldegrave was born in England on 9 July 1753, the son of the 3 rd Earl Waldegrave. He entered the Royal Navy in 1766 and was promoted lieutenant in 1772. He had command in 1775, was promoted rear-admiral in 1794 and rose to vice-admiral in 1795.

Baron Radstock, of Castletown in the Queen's County, [1] was a title in the Peerage of Ireland. It was created in 1800 for Vice-Admiral the Honourable William Waldegrave. He was the second son of John Waldegrave, 3rd Earl Waldegrave (see Earl Waldegrave for earlier history of the family).
