Kristine Arnold. Sweethearts of the Rodeo was an American country music duo composed of sisters Janis Oliver (guitar, vocals) and Kristine Arnold (née Oliver) (vocals). The duo recorded for Columbia Records between 1986 and 1991, releasing four albums and twelve singles for the label.
Kristine married musician Leonard Arnold. Both couples started families, and Sweethearts of the Rodeo disbanded in order to meet the demands of parenthood. They moved apart in 1983 — the Arnolds moved to Austin, Texas , and the Gills settled in Nashville , Tennessee .
