The album was produced by Dave Edmunds. The band had started an album with Nile Rodgers , but returned to Edmunds to capture their usual sound. [7] Stray Cats used electronic drums and bass on some tracks.

After 1992's Dave Edmunds-produced Choo Choo Hot Fish, and the cover album Original Cool, the group called it quits again. In 2004, the Stray Cats reassembled for a month-long tour of Europe. A live album culled from those concerts, Rumble in Brixton, included one new studio track, "Mystery Train Kept A Rollin'".
28 de may. de 2018 · Dave Edmunds was back to produce, and even makes a cameo appearance on "Cry Baby", playing rhythm guitar and singing a duet with Brian Setzer. Well worth checking out if you haven't heard it.

It had been 8 years since they had decided to drop the “Rockabilly Band” label (whether they were or not), but after reaching the top with “Rant’n’Rave”, a mixture of factors made them disappear.
