En 1984, Charles Davis reemplazó a Hinson y una semana después Potts se reincorporó al grupo reemplazando a Gay. En 1987, Hatcher dejó el grupo y regresó Arthur Hinson. En 1988, se agregó Darell Nunlee cuando Martin Upshire se fue. El mismo año, "Do You Love Me" apareció de manera destacada en la película Dirty Dancing.
During the seventies and early eighties, the group's popularity increased and they began playing dates throughout the US and even some international dates. In 1984, Charles Davis replaced Hinson and a week later Potts rejoined the group replacing Gay. In 1987, Hatcher left the group and Arthur Hinson returned.

3 de ago. de 2020 · About 1971, original member Joe Billingslea revived the group, playing a few dates here and there. By 1981, the group consisted of Joe Billingslea, former Contour Council Gay, Arthur Hinson, Martin ‘Beanie’ Upshire and C. Autry ‘Breeze’ Hatcher. The Contours began to play a lot more dates.

Biography. Arthur Hinson (s'00–M'01) was born in Los Angeles, CA. He received the B.A.E. and M.S. E.C.E. degrees in the areas of Control Systems Engineering and Electromagnetics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, in 1999 and 2002, respectively.
