Pearl Lang (May 29, 1921 – February 24, 2009) was an American dancer, choreographer and teacher renowned as an interpreter and propagator of the choreography style of Martha Graham, and also for her own longtime dance company, the Pearl Lang Dance Theater.

Pearl Lang (29 de mayo de 1921 - 24 de febrero de 2009) fue una bailarina, coreógrafa y profesora estadounidense reconocida como intérprete y propagadora del estilo coreográfico de Martha Graham, y también del suyo propio. compañía de danza de toda la vida, el Pearl Lang Dance Theatre.
Pearl Lang, a soloist with Martha Graham’s company and a major exponent of her choreography, who also founded her own company and was a Juilliard faculty member from 1951 to 1969, died on February 24 in Manhattan at 87. The cause was a heart attack while she was recuperating from hip surgery.
As one of Martha Graham’s most expressive soloists, she was the first dancer to perform some of Graham’s own roles. As the “poetess of the Diaspora and the Holocaust,” Lang was also a choreographer and performer passionately attached to her Jewish heritage.
