The album notes state that members Bobby Smith and Edgar "Chico" Edwards share most of the lead vocals on stage. However other than "Tomorrow May Never Come", where he does the lead vocal in unison with Smith (who also leads all the remaining tracks on this album) and Henry Fambrough, Edwards does not have any other leads on this album.
Edgar "Chico" Edwards would fill in while he was away; he would later permanently replace George Dixon when he left the group just prior to their signing at Motown Records. Shortly after the LP is released, Chico Edwards leaves the group, replaced by C.G. Cameron, who takes over the lead vocal duties from Bobbie Smith. Just back from Vietnam, where he had been wounded in combat, Cameron learns of Chico’s departure from an old friend, the Temptations Dennis Edwards.
With Fuqua on staff as a producer, Edgar “Chico” Edwards replaced George Dixon, and Berry Gordy offered the Spinners a new contract in 1964. The group made their official Motown debut at the legendary Apollo Theater the same year to great acclaim.
