Marie-Julie Boulanger, née Marie-Julie Halligner (29 January 1786 – 23 July 1850), was a French mezzo-soprano. She performed her entire career under the stage name Mme Boulanger , appearing in the world premieres of Le maître de chapelle , L'ambassadrice , Le domino noir , and La fille du régiment .

Marie-Julie Halligner va entrar a la Conservatori de París el 1806 per a estudiar solfeig. Va ser alumna de Charles-Henri Plantade i de Pierre-Jean Garat. [4] El debut de Halligner a l' Opéra-Comique el 1811 va ser considerat " un èxit immens ". Va ser una notable soubrette a l'Opéra-Comique entre 1811 i 1835.

Marie-Julie Halligner was born in Paris in 1786, the daughter of merchants, and was accepted as a Solfège student at the conservatory there in 1806. Very little is known about her; and her own career is clearly outshone by those of her two highly gifted granddaughters. More on that later.
