Johnnie Christo is the bassist of The Escape Club. Their hits include the Grammie Nominated # 1 Wild, Wild West, I'll be There and Shake for the Sheikh.
In 2019, Johnnie Christo returned to the line-up and the Escape Club played as a full band for the first time in 25 years during the U.S. tour Lost 80s Live. On January 16, 2024, drummer Red Broad passed away from undisclosed causes.
The Escape Club formed in London, England in 1982 from the remains of two bands; The Expressos and Mad Shadows. Their founding members were; Trevor Steel, John Holliday, Johnnie Christo and Milan Zekavica. Both bands, Mad Shadows and the Expressos had done quite well on the gig circuit.

The Escape Club. The band formed in 1983, comprising Mad Shadows members lead singer/rhythm guitarist Trevor Steel and guitarist John Holliday, along with former Expressos members bassist Johnnie Christo (a.k.a. John Christoforou) and drummer Milan Zekavica.
