Ray Monette is an American musician born May 7, 1946. Career. He started his career as a session musician with Motown. He was also a songwriter and, in 1967 Detroit started a band called The Abstract Reality, who released a 45 rpm single "Love Burns Like A Fire Inside".

7 de mar. de 2015 · At this point Ray Monette (guitar, vocals) replaced Rod Richards (who later joined Noel Redding in Road) in the band’s lineup. Like Richards, Monette’s guitar work played an essential role in the band’s sound, with Monette’s style displaying exceptional versatility.
The band was doing well, touring, with Mike Bruner succeeding Rick Warner in January 1998 and Ivan Greilich's filling in for Ray Monette until Monette's final departure in 2017. Rare Earth continued to perform at corporate events on the oldies circuit.
