Excellence & Opportunity. Established in 1557, Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College prides itself on a long tradition of academic excellence. We provide specialist A Level provision in more than 30 subjects and are proudly ranked amongst the highest achieving sixth form colleges in the country.
Sir John Deane's College re-established itself as a voluntary controlled sixth form college in September 1978. It is a single site campus, parallel to the River Weaver; the college is around half a mile away from Northwich town centre, in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester.
Since 1557. Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College has a long and proud history that dates back more than 465 years. A local clergyman, Sir John Deane rose through the church ranks and later became a rector at St Bartholomew’s the Great in London.

OUR RESULTS. Sir John Deane’s has consistently topped league tables for outstanding results and is ranked amongst the highest achieving sixth form colleges in the country. Our students progress to many of the UK’s top universities as well as prestigious degree and higher-level apprenticeships.
