22 de dic. de 2021 · George Percy was one of the original Jamestown settlers and the author of two important primary accounts of the colony. He served as president of the Council (1609–1610) during the Starving Time, and briefly as deputy governor (1611).
George Dominic Percy, Earl Percy (born 4 May 1984), is a British businessman and the heir apparent to the Dukedom of Northumberland. Early life. Percy was born as the second child and elder son of Ralph Percy, 12th Duke of Northumberland and his wife, the former Jane Richard.

George Percy was one of the wealthy “gentlemen” among the 144 men who settled Jamestown in 1607. He served as president of the colony during the “starving time” of 1609-1610 when more than 400 colonists died, leaving only sixty survivors. He wrote A True Relation in 1624, partly to justify his leadership during this period.
