William Murray Bremner (born 4 August 1946, in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland) is a Scottish guitarist, best known for his work in the band Rockpile and on many of Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds ' albums.

They initially played mainly covers of 1950s rock and roll songs. [3] They originally started playing as "The King-Cats," but changed their name to The Refreshments in 1991. [4] Their 1995 first album, Both Rock'n'Roll, [5] was followed by 1997's Trouble Boys. Both albums were produced by Billy Bremner, who also played in the band for a few years. [6]
But though the tunes are her solidest yet, Don Was's Billy Bremner guitar and Jellyfish harmonies don't set them off any more clearly than Tony Brown's neoclassical taste did. That's mostly because Willis's idea of a good lyric is a simple lyric. No wordplay, no narrative, no trenchant details--just the musical statement, alive and direct.
