Lyric Suite for Sextet is an album by piano–vibraphone duo Chick Corea and Gary Burton recorded in September 1982 and released on ECM a year later—the duo's third studio recording, following Crystal Silence (1972) and Duet (1978).
The collaboration between Chick Corea and Gary Burton — already 11 years into its Grammy-winning run, which continues to this day — broadened its scope on Lyric Suite for Sextet. On a seven-part composition from Chick, the core duo joins with a string quartet, creating a lush landscape of chamber-music tones.

Following a series of duet recordings for the ECM label, pianist / composer Chick Corea and vibraphonist / composer Gary Burton cooperated once again on this project, which adds a string quartet to their wonderful duo, creating a sextet, albeit not a "classic" Jazz sextet one might expect.
