Guess Who was Canada’s first rock superstar and most successful band in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Chad Allan, Randy Bachman, Garry Peterson, Jim Kale, Burton Cummings, Kurt Winter, and Greg Leskiw were key members. Allan, Kale, Bachman, and Ashley created the Silvertones in the late 1950s.
Teaming up with noted jazz guitarist Greg Lowe and double bassist Daniel Koulack, Swing Soniq, Leskiw’s dream band, was born. CBC financed the recording of the trio’s debut album.
26 de feb. de 2020 · With guitarists Kurt Winter and Greg Leskiw taking over Bachman’s lead guitar duties, The Guess Who managed to churn out something that exceeded everyone’s expectations. They used the same template from “American Woman” and that helped them retain their sound even sans Bachman on the lineup. “Share the Land” is a solid and coherent effort.
