Sir Adrian Cedric Boult, CH ( / boʊlt /; 8 April 1889 – 22 February 1983) was a British conductor. Brought up in a prosperous mercantile family, he followed musical studies in England and at Leipzig, Germany, with early conducting work in London for the Royal Opera House and Sergei Diaghilev 's ballet company.

The name of Sir Adrian Boult was not greatly in evidence in EMI’s Great Recordings of the Century, so it made some amends that he appeared fairly early in Great Artists of the Century (this disc has actually been around for several months).
