Johnny Paris. Soundtrack: True Blue. In 1957 17-year-old tenor saxophonist Johnny Pocisk formed a jazz combo composed of fellow students at Rossford Roman Catholic High School in Toledo, Ohio; he called the group "The Orbits" and they played local gigs and also as a studio band.

The leader of the group was saxophonist Johnny Paris, born John Pocisk, 1940 in Walbridge, Ohio. Paris grew up listening to jazz greats until Bill Haley became popular using a combination guitar/sax backing.
