It was established in 1870 and is the largest law school in the United States by enrollment, with over 2,000 students. [5]
Today, the Law Center boasts the nation’s top-ranked clinical program, joint degree and advanced degree programs, world-renowned centers and institutes, an Office of Public Interest and Community Service, and a diverse curriculum rivaling that of any major law school.
Check Application Status. While we will continue to accept and review applications throughout the spring and summer, the first-year JD preferred application deadline is March 1, 2024. The Admissions Committee encourages anyone who is considering applying to do so by this date, if possible.
Each area of specialization for our LL.M. degrees grows out of a center of excellence at Georgetown. Most focus on areas of law in which Georgetown is ranked in the top ten law schools in the nation. Georgetown Law’s LL.M. programs are open to both foreign and U.S.-educated lawyers.
