  1. Henry Percy, Baron Percy of Alnwick (died 1659), son of Henry Percy, 9th Earl of Northumberland, sat in the Short Parliament as the member for Portsmouth, and in the Long Parliament an M.P. for Northumberland; an originator of the "first army plot" in 1641, after which he retired to France.

  5. Henry Percy, 1st Baron Percy, took possession of Alnwick Castle in 1309 and quickly set about a major renovation. He transformed its military defences, creating a formidable fortress. He also added private rooms and lodgings, which are still in use today. The Percy family has an astonishing history, filled with rebellion, romance and intrigue.

  7. Henry Percy died and was buried at Alnwick in 1353. His widow, a dowager died in 1365 and was buried in Beverly Minster under the Percy shrine. Henry was succeeded by his son Henry. Henry, 10th Baron de Percy and 3rd Lord Percy of Alnwick. (1320 – 1368).
